Blogging Attempt

In an attempt to keep up with my siblings, for I am the last one to create a blog, I am starting this blog. The decision to do so was not an easy one. I am not as clever with words as the Pianoman, as creative as Felicia, or as good with English as Charlotte. But, a wise man named Ether once said, "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." So, in an attempt to improve my own weaknesses, and get feedback from those I love and admire I have decided to participate in the blogging world.

As with Charlotte, I have aspirations of being an amatuer photographer. I to have a POS camera, and am envious of the Starving Musicians Nikon D70 with all the accesories. Someday, when it becomes a priority, I too will have a good camera with all the gadgets. My blog will most likely resemble Charlottes photoblog for awhile, although not nearly as well done, because I am not a writer. My initial goal is to start blogging with pictures, and add text as needed.

As Pianoman so aptly named me the Toolman, I have decided to keep that name on my own blog. It is a good name for me, because for those that know me I love tools, gadgets, technology, and as with my son Josh, anything with buttons. I believe this disease was inherited by a number of previous ancestors, but it is a disease that I am grateful for.

I understand why the Starving Musicians gave nicknames to everyone, but I am just plain not sharp enough to keep up with that many code names for everyone. So, for them I will use their names, and for everyone else it will be a first name basis.

I have heard complaints from some bloggers that no one posts any comments. I hope that by starting my own blog I will understand and become more involved .

I enjoy all of your blogs, and think that it is a great way to stay in touch. We all know that if we had to rely on Grandma to pass on what everyone was up to, we wouldn't know much except for the weather :)

HOORAY! HOORAY! I love a new blog! I was planning on pressuring you to start one so we could all see pics of the new house, but I guess I don't have to now!

You all know I love your blogs and I don't just talk about the weather :) Welcome to "blogdom"

Welcome, Toolman! Speaking of gadgets, you'll probably really get into all the different "widgets" you can add to your blog.

(Maybe a live webcam of your house construction or something...)

We try to use code names to avoid creepy stalkers in the LA area...my guess is you're safe in Newton!
